Our history
Janapremi World School was established in 1990 (2046 BS) in Madhyapur Thimi, Bhaktapur, as a professionally managed private school with one objective: quality education for all, at a cost families can afford.
More than three decades later, what began with a handful of students is a school of 1,600+ students, taught from pre-primary through to bachelor’s programmes. Modern facilities, a wide subject range and a steady emphasis on personality development alongside academics are what have kept Janapremi a first choice for families in the valley.
How our programmes grew
Twelve years of secondary teaching came first. In 2002 the school opened Higher Secondary (+2) with Management and Humanities; five years later it added the Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), affiliated with Tribhuvan University. The +2 Science stream followed in 2010, and 2014 brought the Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW), also under Tribhuvan University. A Law stream is the most recent addition, answering a growing national need for legal professionals.
Behind that growth is an academic record that includes a 99% success rate in the School Leaving Certificate examinations, and consistently strong SEE, +2 and BBS results — taught by 100+ faculty members. The school is affiliated with the National Examinations Board (NEB) and the Ministry of Education, and its bachelor’s programmes with Tribhuvan University.
